Refined Beauty with Brown Roses

While not commonly known, brown roses really do exist. Imagine being the first among your friends to discover such a beautiful rose and incorporate it into your wedding decorations. Brown roses come in a wide-range of tones and shades, from russet, to café ole and from smoky to iced tea.

Brown has always been known as an earthy, natural color. Brown is often used to indicate warmth and stability. Brown is the color of tree trunks, dependably supporting brilliant trees; it’s the color of a cozy teddy bear that keeps you company at night; and it’s the color of the coffee you love to drink while chatting with a friend. With these connotations, brown roses are often used to convey friendship and thanks. Many people send roses with brown shades for secretary day, to thank their employee for a job well done. They are also a terrific color to send to your male companion; they are tender and yet manly; sweet and yet not too feminine.

The variety of brown rose shades also gives great flexibility for a wedding or other occasion. You can mix and match various shades of brown flowers to compliment bridesmaid dresses and wedding color themes. Brown roses are actually natural derivatives of other rose colors from dark orange and red to pale orange and yellow. They are usually a soft-colored rose, like a dark cream, that gives forth a peaceful energy.

Brown roses are exceptionally unique and ideal for a wedding with an earth-toned theme or an autumn wedding where yellow, green, and orange flowers are prominent. For an elegant bouquet, sweep together a collection of light brown roses and tie them with a cream ribbon. For an original centerpiece, combine brown roses with a few light colored pink or ivory roses in a vase and surround the vase with small chocolates. This will be both appealing to the eye and appealing to the palate. You can also place a single brown rose with an accompanying chocolate at each guest’s seat along with a cream-colored place card.

Another way to incorporate this usual type of rose into an affair is to sprinkle brown rose petals on tables with complimentary colored table clothes. For example, use a very light colored pink or beige tablecloth and lay the brown rose petals between the plates and silverware and around the centerpiece.

Who would have thought that brown roses exist? For a change and for something special and different, brown roses are a great option to use for any special occasion.
