Fresh and Fun Summer Wedding Flowers Create a Stunning Affair

There’s nothing as enjoyable as the summer time: and nothing as romantic as saying your vows as the sun sets on a summer evening. Fresh and fun summer wedding flowers can help you to create a beautiful, stunning aura at your affair.

The most popular time for planning a wedding is between May and September, which is a perfect time to take advantage of abundant fresh and fun summer wedding flowers. Summer wedding flowers, such as pink and purple hydrangeas or purple liatrises, allow you to create a colorful, lush look. They can be used for incredible adornments in bridal bouquets, centerpieces, bridesmaid bouquets, and on wedding aisles and canopies.

Many couples like to take advantage of the great summer weather to hold their weddings outdoors. The possibilities are endless when you seek flowers to complement the clear summer azure sky. Many brides love the freshness and versatility of alstroemeria, which comes in a wide-range of colors. Among the most popular choices are orange, pink, rose, purple, red, yellow, white, cream and salmon. In monochromatic bouquets or as an assortment, alstroemeria creates a beautiful summer look and is a fantastic choice for all types of wedding adornments.

Summer wedding flowers can also be used in tandem with summer fruits, shells or other decorations to create a playful and unique theme at any summer wedding. Here are a number of suggestions to use fresh and fun summer wedding flowers in combination with other items.

  • Place tall elegant calla lilies in glass vases and surround each vase with dark purple Muscat grapes or green grape vines.
  • Use candles for an evening wedding. To do this, you can place two tall, white candles in the center of a basket and surround them with blooming hydrangeas; or, use a colored scented candle with a subtle lavender or jasmine scent and surround it with a mixture of lilies or white roses. The combination of the sweet smell and gorgeous flowers will be intoxicating.
  • Add small heart shaped balloons to a basket filled with small white, pink, and red colored roses to create a fun, romantic centerpiece.
  • For weddings that take place towards the late summer and early fall, place potted asters at each table. Guests will not only be able to enjoy this star shaped flower at the wedding, but can also take them home as reminders of a beautiful event.
  • For a Fourth of July wedding combine blue hydrangeas, white snapdragons, and red roses. Place a few small American flags between the flowers and you’ve created a festive, patriotic centerpiece.
  • Create a relaxing wedding with a sea shore theme. Use tall crystal vases and fill them with blue marbles, clear water and white snapdragons. Surround the vases with small sea shells and intertwine a string of large white beads, shaped like pearls, around the vases.

There are so many ways to make a beautiful, relaxing and special summer wedding. If anything, the limitless flower possibilities can make choices difficult! Make your summer wedding perfect by selecting fresh and fun summer wedding flowers that will blend beautifully with the weather and the relaxed, summer atmosphere.
